A custom massage isn't a set routine, it's a fully personalized massage therapy session shaped around what your body actually needs that day. As a licensed massage therapist and owner of Mellow & Mend, I pull from a range of techniques to meet you exactly where you are.
Relaxation massage to quiet the nervous system. Deep tissue work to release chronic muscle tension. Or a combination of both. Before every session, you'll talk through your pressure preferences, areas of focus, areas to avoid, and what you're hoping to walk out feeling like.

A custom massage is a personalized massage therapy session — no preset routine, no one-size-fits-all pressure. Your therapist adapts techniques, pressure, and areas of focus based on what your body needs that day. It can be fully relaxing, fully therapeutic, or anywhere in between.

Relaxation massage (often called Swedish) uses lighter, flowing pressure to calm the nervous system and reduce stress. Deep tissue massage uses slower, firmer strokes to reach deeper muscle layers and release chronic tension or tightness. A custom session can combine both — lighter work where you need ease, deeper work where you need relief.

30 or 45 minutes is great for a focused area or a quick reset. 60 minutes covers most of the body with intention and is a solid starting point for first-time clients. 75 or 90 minutes allows for full-body work with extra time on problem areas. If you're not sure, we can chat about what’s right for you and your goals.
